New Members Announced
Powerful new members, rock drummer, John Wagner and shredder lead guitarist, Ragnar are with us, now. The sound is in a similar vein as the original Flight of Odin lineup, yet renewed and evolving.
Our collective astrological sun signs comprise the elements of fire and earth, coining a new genre: “LAVA ROCK”. Yet grounded in the Earth, the cerebral and emotional planetary aspects of air and water wisp in and rush through.
I am grateful for my muse and the musical prowess husband, bassist/pianist Andrew Cann, John and Ragnar bring to the project.

Albeit our new album PHANTOM MAN is slated for release in 2019, Flight of Odin's guitarist and drummer have officially moved to South Carolina and are unable to work further on the project. This means that we are in search of a new local virtuoso guitarist and versatile drummer.

Among other topics, Robbie White and Weasel (formerly of WHFS) will interview Xyra about her travels, crazy life adventures, celebrity photography, founding Capitol Crisis magazine, her musical background, and years hosting on Georgetown University’s WGTB and guest-hosting on American University’s WAMU FM radio.
Included on the show will be tracks from Xyra’s various bands: Verborgen, The_LINE, The Xyra Band, Mystic Angels, and current band, Flight of Odin.
Pianist/bassist Andrew Cann, Xyra’s husband and bandmate for more than 20 years will also be present!

Over the past several months, my current band, Flight of Odin and I have been developing and recording material for our next album release slated for spring of 2018. The band has not played out, officially, since our 9:30 gig earlier this year (2017). This lull in live performances has been due primarily to personal schedule conflicts, health issues, and the uniqueness of our music not fitting into genre-specific slots. We aim to remedy all of this, going forward, as the new songs tend to have a wider audience appeal.
