“GuitarGuru”, Andrey (Andy) Paul is a professional guitarist, vocalist, and music composer who has played with several highly successful original bands in Eastern Europe, namely, Legend, Utopia, and O-Zone.
In 2023, Flight of Odin welcomed the dynamic sensibilities, versatility, and exceptional lead guitar and arrangement skills Andy brought to our original music project. Andy helped develop and performed guitar on Flight of Odin’s June 2024 EP release “Goddess in Smoke”. He moved away from the band in July 2024.
Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Andy moved to the US in 2005 and has been performing and recording with various artists in the Mid-Atlantic region to include Brian Fox, Celeste Starchild, McWorm, Earls of Kent, and more recently, Flight of Odin.

Among the most successful projects Andy has participated in were the musical arrangements and accompaniment he provided for the vocal trio O-Zone. Utopia and O-Zone performed across Europe for thousands of fans, and some of O-Zone's songs ("Dragostea din Tei" - aka "Numai Numai", "Pentru tine", etc.) were among the Top 10 songs on the Eurochart.
Andy is a well-known guitar teacher in both Europe and the USA, and received the "Best Guitar Guru" award in Moldova, Ukraine, and Russia 2000-2005.
Further achievements include a film score Andy wrote and recorded for an independent movie called "My Life in Dreams" by Luis Campos, which was submitted to the Sundance Festival.
As a highly accomplished acoustic guitarist, Andy has been an active member of The National Chamber Ensemble in Washington, DC from 2010 to present.
