Mark Jeffrey Campayno worked with Flight of Odin in mid-2019 and into 2020, briefly replacing their previous guitarist, Mike Karagiannis, who relocated to South Carolina in late 2018.
Mark is featured on two rehearsal demo recordings by Flight of Odin, “Obsidian” and “You Can’t Stop Me Now”. In 2019, he joined Xyra, Andrew Cann and Kenny Finger, their drummer from the original lineup, for a radio interview and live performance on WOWD LP, hosted by former WHFS FM DJ, Weasel and Robbie White.

Mark's career in music began in 1982, teaching himself guitar technique, using the Aaron Shearer and Berklee guitar methods. Mark also spent time playing his share of classic rock covers.
Upon graduating from Seton Hill University at Greensburg, Pennsylvania in 2003, Mark accepted a position teaching music with the Loudoun County Virginia Public Schools system.

Mark owns and operates StudioRock of Northern Virginia, a music performance studio located in Herndon, Virginia. He also directs youth bands in the annual Loudoun County YouthFest Music Festival, which runs from October through May on Northern Virginia. Mark is Stage Coordinator and talent acquisition assistant for that endeavor.
In addition, Mark hosts two digital radio shows, weekly:
“The Studio Rocks, with Mark Campayno” and
“The Essence of Cool: An Insight into Jazz and Blues, with Mark Campayno”. The shows are broadcast on, www.thejazzrepository.org or www.jazzbitesradio.com.
In the warmer months, Mark works security for Live Nation/Jiffy Lube Arena at its Bristow, Virginia location. This involvement has taught him much about live music production.
Currently, Mark focuses mainly on teaching music and guitar, hosting two radio shows, and playing lead guitar with two cover bands in the Leesburg, VA area. In addition, he is proprietor of StudioRock, a music performance studio. In concert with these activities, Mark directs youth bands in the annual YouthFest Music Festival that includes “Battle of Bands” events.
