Andrew Cann is a multi-instrumentalist and executive producer who plays classic piano/keyboards, guitar, bass, and cello. He is featured on 6 commercial album releases, available worldwide.
Born south of London, England, 8 January, Andrew voiced a keen interest in music at an early age. At age 6, he began classical piano studies at The Watford School of Music with concert pianist, Julianne Skerry.
After moving from England to the U.S., at age 16, Andrew gravitated more toward Led Zeppelin and other hard rock groups, later contributing to several music projects that mostly showcased his talents on piano. Additionally, he composed, recorded and produced an experimental orchestral work called "Cerebral Vortex ~ Cerebral Cafe", on which he performed all of the instruments.
While studying classical piano at the Levine School Music with virtuoso Russian pianist, Anna Balakerskaia, Andrew met and began classical and electric guitar lessons with master guitarist, Eric S. Ulreich. Eric’s teaching helped Andrew, technically, in his later pursuit of playing 5-string bass guitar.
Andrew continued advanced classical piano with Eric's wife, Dr. Laurie Hudicek 2011-2018. During such time, he and Laurie performed classical recitals together that included Andrew’s original compositions, sometimes joined by Eric on classical or electric guitar.
Besides his original piano compositions, Andrew recently studied cello, and presently contributes bass guitar and keyboards to Flight of Odin. In 2022, he was invited to play keys with The Matthew Mills Band for occasional gigs and recording. Other bands Andrew has recorded and performed with are Mystic Angels, The Xyra Band, The LINE_, and Verborgen.
Notable live performances include The Philadelphia Music Conference, Blues Alley, The State Theater, WRNR FM live, WOWD LP live, Dave Grohl’s Black Cat, and The 9:30 Club In Washington, DC.
